This policy describes what z4p collects when you open a short link, and how that information is used.
What we collect
When a short link is opened, we record the link code, the time of the visit, a coarse browser family (for example "Chrome" or "Safari"), the referring site's hostname, and whether the visit looked like an automated crawler or preview bot. We do not store your raw IP address: it is combined with a rotating secret and one-way hashed before being saved, so it cannot be reversed back to your address.
Retention
Individual visit records are automatically deleted 90 days after they are created. Aggregate counts (total opens and completed redirects per link) are retained for as long as the link exists so link owners can see historical performance. Where a visit record is part of an active fraud review or payout dispute, we retain it until that matter is resolved, even if this extends beyond 90 days.
Creator accounts
If you have a creator account, we store your email address and a hashed (never plaintext) password, along with the links you create and their completed-visit counts, which determine your earnings balance. We also store hashed device and IP fingerprints associated with your account, your fraud-review status, and your payout request history, which we use to evaluate payout eligibility and detect self-traffic or other abuse, as described in our Terms of use. We do not currently share this data with anyone outside the operation of the Service.
Cookies
The public transition page does not set a tracking cookie. Signed-in areas set a single, encrypted, HttpOnly session cookie used only to keep you signed in. When advertising is enabled, our advertising partner may set its own cookies or use similar technology as described in their own privacy policy.
Advertising
The transition page may display advertisements served by a third-party advertising network. That network may process technical information about your visit (such as your IP address and device type) under its own privacy policy in order to serve and measure advertisements.
Data sharing
We do not sell visit data. It is used only to operate the Service, measure link performance, evaluate payout eligibility, and detect abuse. It may be disclosed if required by law or to protect the security of the Service.
